India-based power and energy company Adani Power has begun work on a 3.2GW ultra-supercritical thermal power plant (USTPP) in Chapar, in Assam's Dhubri district. The development follows a foundation stone-laying ceremony led by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.
