Virtually-enabled Emergency Department (ED) at Georgian Bay General Hospital has successfully connected over 3,000 patients with MDs,with 97.5% managed virtually and only 1% redirected to the ED.The Ontario program has saved an estimated $1.4 million by diverting 3,065 patients from the ER between June 2022 and December 2024.
