Vedanta subsidiary Cairn Oil & Gas has announced a hydrocarbon discovery in the Ambe-2A appraisal well off India’s west coast in the Gulf of Cambay in the Arabian Sea. The discovery is located in reservoirs below the main gas field within the Miocene-Tarkeshwar formation.
