Target (TGT) is eliminating 1,800 roles as the company works through an ongoing sales decline, with incoming CEO Michael Fiddelke set to take the helm next February. In a memo to employees on Thursday, Fiddelke, who has been with the company since 2003, said the retailer will eliminate 8% of its corporate roles in the US, including 1,000 existing roles and closing some 800 open roles the company had been hiring for.
